Bridal Headpiece 2011 Trends – Which One To Choose?
When choosing your bridal headpiece, consider the style of your dress. While vintage cage veils are definitely in this year, if your dress is a contemporary style, then the trendy cage veil won’t look as trendy as you hoped. 2011 is seeing a wide array of wedding veil styles and flower hair pieces for weddings. If you want both, flowers can be added to the veil for your bridal headpiece as well. Veils are definitely the style this year, although the types of veils are varied. The traditional waterfall veil will always be beautiful, however birdcage wedding veils seem to be the most popular. The birdcage veil has a much shorter length than the waterfall veil and any bride will look fashionable with a birdcage veil as a bridal headpiece.
Another trend in the bridal headpiece area is not to have a headpiece at all. Wedding hair pieces are also taking a simpler look and updo’s with simple hairpins are also popular. The hairpins themselves can be used as headpiece décor if they have a decorated tip like a pearl finish or a jeweled look to them. Another 2011 trend is the tiara. If a tiara with real jewels is slightly out of the budget, and you do not wish to wear fake gems, wedding tiaras can be rented for your wedding day.
The last bridal headpiece trend for 2011 is the bridal headband. This may sound a little informal, however bridal headbands can be as glamorous or as simple as the bride prefers. The headbands are a throwback to vintage times and can be adorned with beads, pearls, flowers, bows or simply fabric that matches your bridal gown. This headpiece eliminates the need for a veil or for hundreds of hairpins that you have to take out when the night is over!
