Such is the attraction towards Florida that couples are ready to splurge as much money as they can in order to have an experience of a lifetime. Though, every moment spent together may be magical, all is not hunky dory as couples soon realize that there are pros and cons that they may not be aware of or knowingly/unknowingly chose to ignore. This article brings you the pros and cons of some of the most popular destinations in Florida.

1. Orlando
It is undeniably a favorite and one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in Florida. A Mecca for honeymooners in the US, it is home to the most famous theme parks, water parks, shopping malls, and dining in the world. Weddings in Orlando are nothing short of a fairy tale as the city proudly boasts of Disneyland fairytale wedding packages that suit every budget. Though it looks too good to be true, there are some pros and cons to it.

Pros: It practically has no snow, it is very hip to look and live and yet very cheap to live here, has some pretty awesome tourist attractions.
Cons: It is very eerily clean but boasts of surroundings that are fake a-la Stepford wives, its summers are quite hot and brutal, it very crowded and very expensive for a tourist/honeymooner.

2. Florida Keys
Discovered by Ponce de Leon in 1513, the Florida Keys which are a chain of islands got their name from the Spanish word “cayo” which means island. Pros: It has a beautiful laid back atmosphere. It has an all round warm weather which is quite relaxing. You can watch dolphins and the coral reef.
Cons: It usually gets very crowded. Accommodations are difficult to find. It is quite difficult to park the vehicles. There are lots of seaweeds on the beaches. The local attractions and restaurants are very expensive. It is definitely not recommended for small children.

3. Everglades
One of the best places to honeymoon, it has frail and rare ecosystem wetlands, it is a part of the Florida landscape. It is quite popular for its mangroves and is home to many nearly extinct and endangered species of animals which includes the Florida Panther, the American Crocodile, the West Indian Manatee. You can either explore it by a guided tour on an airboat or by foot or by bike. You can also indulge in some canoeing and kayaking if you are the outdoorsy type. One of the most nature rich honeymoon destinations in Florida is a popular haunt for film shoots and scenes that involve crocodiles.

Pros: You can get to see interesting flora and fauna, wildlife. It is the home to many excellent medicinal plants. It boasts of a boardwalk and a museum. You ac get to see lots of Ibises, warblers, herons, gators etc.
Cons: It is not being maintained properly by the government. It has become noisy because of the operation of air boats. Consider other honeymoon destinations in Florida in the summer as it gets very hot and mosquitoes have become a menace here.

4. Miami
Beach, fashion, and nightlife are what Miami is all about. This numero uno Florida honeymoon destinations spot boasts of one of the most exquisite coastlines. It offers plenty of outdoor activities on its golden beaches and the blue waters. It is not only famous for its beaches, fashion, nightlife, but is also known as a hub for museums which exhibit not only local art exhibit but classic and modern art as well.

Pros: This one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in Florida and the world, has an international and cosmopolitan touch to it. It boasts of a great nightlife with consistent warm weather. It has a unique natural setting with cultural diversity and has a collection of elegant antiques and architecture.
Cons: Finding a place to park is next to impossible. It is very expensive and is not for the penny pinched. Its tourist spots are very crowded coupled with high crime rate.
